Lofoten 2005
Returning to the Islands in 2005, the big difference was having transport this time. This gave us much more freedom to search for locations but regrettably the weather had other plans.
My first trip had been characterised by fine weather and as if to compensate, the weather this year was drab and dull.
The best evening we had resulted in the shots of Flakstadpollen above and Saltisen to the left here.
This far North the sun takes a long time to go down and when it does it creates a glowing light that can be stunning.
Again I was starting to feel frustrated by the limitations of my Nikon although the island landscapes at least offered some views that suited the wide angle lens.
I was starting to want more than my little compact digital camera could produce.
This was a definite watershed, The time was coming for a change.
This old wreck of a fishing boat serves to show the typical conditions that dogged us during our stay on the islands.
In fact this was one of the brighter moments.
