Roker
18th Janurary 2011
It’s a simple fact of life that most of us have to work for a living and although I count myself fortunate to have a cool job that I really enjoy I still have to fit my photography in around other commitments.
January has me working for a week up in Tyneside for the West Boldon Environmental Centre each year and this lighthouse has become a favourite location for me while I am there.
A while ago it gave me one of the shots that was commended in the Landscape Photographer of the Year awards 2010.
With the moon approaching fullness and good forecasts for the weather I was hoping for the chance of a shot like this with the last of the days sun on Roker light as the moon rose up on the opposite side.
Something just a little bit different from the shots I normally take in the mornings.
