Lofoten 2006
Have you ever decided to climb a mountain in the middle of the night? I have on a couple of occasions.
This time it started because a blanket of fog had rolled in from the sea while we were at Eggum.
I decided to try and get above the mist to get a shot, and the highest spot that I could get to easily was Blau Tinden. What started as an attempt to rise above the mist ended with me stood on the peak in the early hours of the morning.
Such is the light in northern Scandinavia during the summer that it never really gets dark even if the sun does dip below the horizon.
Blau Tinden is not the highest peak in Lofoten but it does have a fantastic view due to it’s position.
